In the Riddle Lab, we investigate how humans control their thoughts to reach their goals. Our research is uncovering how electrical brain activity supports dynamic brain networks that underlies cognitive control. Our long-term goal is to develop novel non-invasive brain stimulation interventions for psychiatric illness with precision targeting based on neural activity. We record electrophysiology (EEG) and/or hemodynamics (fMRI) concurrent with the delivery of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) or transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS). The PI, Justin Riddle, is committed to academic integrity, scientific innovation, and effective mentorship.
