The Riddle Lab is equipped for high throughput clinical trials that combine electrophysiology, neuroimaging, and non-invasive brain stimulation.
EEG: Two 96-channel BrainVision actiChAmp Plus for high-definition recording.
Functional MRI: The MRI Facility has a 3T Prisma MAGNETOM Trio with 64 channel head cage and Psychology Software & Current Designs response boxes.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS): MagVenture R30 with water-cooled coil for rapid pulses (continuous theta-burst, online rhythmic sequences). Localite Neuronavigation for 3D stereotaxic navigation. EEG system is TMS-compatible for concurrent studies.
Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation (tACS): NeuroCare Multiple-Channel NeuroConn stimulator with four stimulation channels up to 2 mA, customizable electrical waveforms, and customizable electrode montages.

Welcome to the lab! Let me show you around

Participants in our research have a place to wait for the study to begin

96 channel BrainVision EEG system is used for high definition electrical recording.

Zoe practices her EEG application skills on mock participant and RA, Constanza. 32 channel system was used for practice.

The MagVenture TMS machine is close to the EEG for concurrent use. MRI-guided neuronavigation ensure its accuracy.

Multichannel Neuroconn Stimulator allows us to deliver customized tACS in our studies

Testing novel tACS waveforms with Saige

At the MRI Facility, we collect functional data on a Siemens Prisma 3T.

Clinical assessments ensure that our studies can investigate the neural basis of psychiatric illness
